Governance Board

A Governance Board, appointed by the Governor, guides the use of KLCR Program funds so that Program activities are consistent with the directives of the General Assembly. The Board allocates these research funds to the Universities to conduct research that will reduce the morbidity and mortality from lung cancer.

There are nine members of the Board with two representing the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, two representing the University of Louisville and two representing the University of Kentucky. The remaining three members are from the state-at-large. The Governor appoints one of the state at large members as Chair. (KRS 164.476)
